The Day Before Thanksgiving
Good Morning,
It is the day before Thanksgiving with great smells throughout the house. Mom is baking in the kitchen and Dad is watching tv quiet as a mouse (yeah right!)... LOL Ok, now, back to reality. I really am visiting with my family at my Mom and Dad's house. My Mom is making all kinds of goodies and it does smell really good in here. Throughout the past 3 weeks I have been teaching my children all different aspects of Thanksgiving, from the first traditionally known Thanksgiving through turkey facts.
Today we have a couple cute projects planned. First, I am going to print out some blank cornucopias. The kids will cut fruits and vegetables out of magazines and paste them in their cornucopia. Then, we plan to make homemade butter. My mom has some baby food jars and we will pour cold whipping cream into them. Then the children will shake them until the mixture becomes real butter.
Well, that's all the exciting things going on today. I plan to skip my blogging on Thanksgiving day, but will be back again with the best deals out there on Black Friday. If you are interested in in joining a survey site that pays pretty good, here is a link for you to follow and sign up. Until Friday, have a great Thanksgiving Day!!!

Welcome to Homeschooling With Marci
Hi,
This is my first time setting up a blog of this nature. I hope to create a blog of what I am doing with my kids in my homeschool, ways to help parents pay for the little extras, and give advice in general.
I have been homeschooling for 4 years now. I have an 8 year old who is in 2nd grade and a 4 year old who is in K4. Since I have learned a few things along the way, I hope to share them here with you. Most of the experience I have is in elementary school, so I will share mostly things of a younger child nature.
It is my hope to share the great things that I have found. I've been all over the web doing this that and the other, and it never ceases to amaze me that half the time I am sent on a wild goose chase. I will never send you somewhere and not tell you what it is about. Hopefully as I daily add to the blog, it will be a blessing to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Marci the Homeschooling Mom
